Lets Clear Up Some Confusion...

Ok people.

This is getting to be stupid.

I'm sure you know what I am talking about.. THE TERROR MOSQUE ON GROUND ZERO!!!

I just wanted to clear up some info. Here we go.

#1. Its not at the site called "Ground Zero" it is actually 4 blocks away. It can't / won't be able to be seen from the site.

#2. IT IS A COMMUNITY CENTER. It will be torn down and rebuilt as a community center that will not only contain a culinary school, a conference hall, a basketball court, a swimming pool but a place that muslims can worship.

#3. There is already an existing mosque between "Ground Zero" and " The TERROR MOSQUE", no one seems to care about that one?

#4. Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791.

Note Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

So by not allowing them to build this or even demanding that they alter the location is a violation of the 1st amendment. Basically what everyone who opposes this project is saying is: " Oh we respect your rights as Americans...as long as we are ok with it and it fits our needs and makes us not lose sleep at night." What is the point of rights if we only respect them when its convenient?

#5. Its not a federal issue!! The President should not even have commented on this. It is a local issue. If they pass all of the local codes and get all the permits there legeally shouldn't be anything that is stopping it. Especially talking heads on the news..

#6. People are freaking out that the money that will help get this project finished is coming from "Terrorist States" or " Al-Qaeda ". First of all..they haven't started raising the projected 100 million dollars that it will take to build this. So that particular money trail hasn't even started yet.

However , the Kingdom Foundation, ( Prince bin Talal's charity) donated close to $300K to Muslim Leaders of Tomorrow, a leadership and networking project sponsored jointly by two of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf's organizations, the American Society for Muslim Advancement and the Cordoba Initiative. ( Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is charge of planning the community planner btw)

So..to be clear...$ was donated to charities from The Kingdom Foundation....which comes from Prince bin Talal...which is made from owning 7% of Fox News ( and various other things)...which is the organization blowing this up. Seems like a circle to me..

People may be upset that the religion shared by the nineteen 9/11 high-jackers and rest of the 1.5 billion Muslims are similar( if not the same), but the views on America are not. Clearly if the other 1.5 BILLION Muslims wanted to attack or had a plan to attack America, they would not start at the 5 square block radius where the entire world would know about it.

This is all stupid. I say let them build the Community Center.

If we follow our own laws correctly... they will.
