A Phising Trip!

So I got a text saying that my Wachovia checking card had a hold put on it and I needed to call :305-471-5190 and get it straightened out. The funny thing is that I don't have a Wachovia card...and I googled that number and it shows up as someone in Florida.( here is the google map of where they live: http://bit.ly/5rDMQb) Whatever it is..looks out for spam text messages. They are out to getcha!

My question to you...on one who reads this...is what do I do about this? Can I call the police and say I got a phising text? I googled the number and it gives a house address? Anyone got any ideas?

  1. Mmhmm you file a complaint with the FCC but your comment box won't let me paste the link, so Google 'report phone calls' and it should be like the second full link that says "FCC Consumer Complaints"

  2. You can call Wachovia. They welcome tips about scams that are posing as their bank.
