Hello to no one that reads this,
Long time no...anything! So we are taking a trip to Ireland! I don't think I can express how excited I am to be going. What started out as a drunken conversation topic between me, ktogg and Brandon has blossomed into what seems like will be an amazing trip! We are going to be gone for 2 weeks. After 6 days in Ireland we will be taking a ferry over to Scotland. We are on the verge of buying tickets, just waiting for the right price. So far they hover about 100$ over what we wanna pay but they are dropping slowly but surely.
I think one of the most exciting aspects about this trip is that a lot of my ancestors STILL live there. So for all of those that know me ( you know the ones that aren't reading this..) thats right...I'm going to knock on the door of every person that shares my last name, or my mother's maiden name. Thats right..
Im not really sure how it will go over. I am prepared for doors being closed in my face or people calling me crazy, but I'm also prepared for at least ONE person to listen to my heritage story and see if we are related. The original Irish spelling is O'Sprott, and is currently spelled the same as my last name Spratt. ( btw which means : fish ). Galphin ( mom's side ) is still the same.
This is the route that we are going to take through Ireland. Just so you know.
